Who Has Sparked Interested from Chelsea So Far?
So far in the January transfer window, there appears to be a few players that have attracted the interest of Chelsea. Including trying to get Emerson back from his loan at Lyon as they are currently short on the LB front with the likes of Chilwell out for a long term injury and Marcos Alonso. Even that is looking like a challenging task for the Blues who have recently hit another curveball in trying to get him back to the club.
However, one of the most exciting youth prospects that have attracted Chelsea’s attention along with other top European clubs is Aurelien Tchouameni. He currently plays for Monaco, who have a knack for creating teenage sensations such as Kylian Mbappe. I mean, if you have played Fifa 22 Ultimate Team then you definitely know exactly who he is with his incredibly over-powered in-form card. Therefore, if you have seen the footage of his recent games with Monaco you would understand how important and instrumental he is so there is no surprise that Chelsea fans are going crazy.
Another individual that the Blues have been monitoring is Ousmane Dembele who is also known as one of the greatest standard cards on Fifa history. However, we are yet to see any outrageous performances in real life with Barcelona which is the reason they are currently interested in getting him off their books. Currently, Barcelona is in a lot of debt and are trying to find ways to balance the books. Also, Ousmane has been injury-prone over his time at the Catalans so there is no surprise that they are looking to offload him. I mean, they only want him to sign a new contract so they can get money for selling him in the summer transfer. In fact, it is rumoured that Xavi has said if he doesn’t sign a new contract or leave this January then he will never wear a Barcelona shirt again. Now, that seems a little unfair as it is not exactly his fault for all the money troubles.
Thinking about it though, he could really help bolster the ranks at Chelsea with Calum Hudson-Odoi getting a lot of minutes due to the number of injuries but with a lot of Chelsea fans growing increasingly annoyed with his poor performances each week. There is no surprise that Dembele brings a little excitement to the fans as an alternative option going forward.
Chelsea is also known to be monitoring the contract situation with Sule who has rejected yet another contract with Bayern Munich. Now the question is, who would they be looking to replace in the backline in order to accommodate Sule. Do they think that Thiago Silva is set to retire in the next couple of years which definitely seems likely? Or, with ongoing speculation about Rudiger’s future, could this be his replacement if it was to happen. Only time will tell whether that be in the January transfer window or the summer.
